Coaches

Daria Schneider – Head Coach, Harvard University Fencing

Daria Schneider is the Head Coach of Harvard University Fencing, a former U.S. National Team member, and a two-time World Championship team bronze medalist. Under her leadership, Harvard has achieved multiple NCAA championship successes. The clinic will give athletes the opportunity to experience the training methods, competitive mindset, and athlete-development approach used at the NCAA Division I level.

Ying Cao – Assistant Coach

Ying Cao is a former Canadian National Team foil fencer and NCAA Division I athlete at Cornell University. She represented Canada internationally from 2015–2024, competing at the Cadet, Junior, and Senior World Cup levels and earning medals at the Pan American Championships and Canadian National Championships.

Clinic Description

This two-day elite fencing clinic is designed to help athletes train smarter and perform better through high-level technical training, competitive fencing, and a deeper understanding of how top collegiate athletes approach their development.

Parent/Guardian Policy

Parents and guardians are not permitted to remain inside the club during the training sessions, but are welcome to attend the College Fencing Talk & Q&A on Sunday with a separate registration and fee.

Clinic Requirements

Participants should bring their complete fencing equipment appropriate for their weapon, including:

  • Mask, jacket, glove, and fencing pants
  • Working electric weapons and body cords
  • Indoor fencing/athletic shoes
  • Water bottle

Athletes are also encouraged to bring a notebook and pen for the training approach, goal-setting, and journaling portion of the clinic.
